Morecowbell 23 #1 Posted April 29, 2017 I've found a 1962 (I think) Lawn Ranger, serial # is 62-20482. Its a little crusty and in a few pieces, would be a great project if its not missing anything major. But this is the first one I've seen, so I was looking for the basics, like brake clutch and throttle. I found the brake but I'm embarrassed to say I couldn't figure out the clutch and the throttle! So could someone tell me where they should be (if they are there)? My second question is on the deck - it appears to be original but has square sides and is welded up from flat stock. In the pics I see on the internet, the decks for this model have rounded front corners and edges so its seems to be a stamped piece - so is this one original? Many thanks for any help and/or advice! gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,503 #2 Posted April 29, 2017 No doubt you found this The available info suggests there was a deck model RM-112 which makes sense with the 2 representing 1962. You may have a early deck version as 1962 was the first year for the lawn Ranger. The RM-113 was the 1963 version. Garry

Your break and clutch are operated by the same peddle, half way down will operate the clutch, all the way for brakes. The throttle is the black knob on the right of the steering wheel, choke on the left.
