stevebo-(Moderator) 8,060 #1 Posted January 25, 2009 guys, i finally found the economy tractor i have been hunting for and it turns out it was in walking distance from my house. i believe it to be a 1968 or 69 14 hp economy. it is missing the hydro pump but everything else is there and it runs great. i bought it from an old timer who also has an early model Beaver tiller steering tractor with what i believe has a wisconsin motor. it is in desperate need of a restoration as it is in pretty bad shape however looks complete. if anyone is interested, let me know and i will get you in contact with the owner. he is looking for $200 for it. ps... if anyone has or knows where i can pick up a hydro pump for my new economy tractor, please let meknow. thanks- steve bo in ct. CasualObserver 3,406 #2 Posted January 26, 2009 Steve, wish CT was closer! A Beaver is a hard to find unit. Perhaps they're a little easier there... they were made in CT. Tiller steering would of course make it an early unit. Here's a 1957 ad for them.
