Snow cab mounted on my 416-H

Recommended Posts

Sparky

Hey guys. Well after agonizing over how to mount my new snow cab WITHOUT drilling the fender of my 416-H I came up with a plan. I'm not a fabricator at all and have no welder or welding skills so this is what I came up with. It turned out great and is rock-solid.

I used some Uni-Strut products that I had kicking around so the whole thing is bolt on (and bolt off). There was no drilling or cutting of any part of the tractor. Now I just need some snow to chuck on a windy day to see if it was all worth it.

There's no doubt in my mind now that you're an electrician.

Glad it worked out for you Mike.

But that one green metal tab looks very close to your paintjob.

Nice job, Make do with what you have that works. You could put a back up lite on the posts so you can see in the dark and give the post something else to do. That isn't a very good spot to be drilling holes anyway is it?

S-w-e-e-t... excellent use of free/cheap material that would otherwise just be taking up room. Excellent solution to what seems to be a common problem. Good job Mike!:whistle:

You could tie that post into a slot hitch and use the lift handle to shake the rain off "Doggy style".
