3/12 pushing snow

Recommended Posts

Heavy, wet, April fools snow. Not happy about it either. Had to go to work to clean up the campus, then scrape mine. I didn't bother using the3/15 with the 44" blower, all the equipment at work clogged so I had my fill of that. Tractor worked well, did notice some belt slippage? In high range none in low and I was pushing a full deep blade up hill. I'll check the belt and hubs, prob due for a new belt anyway. As always fun to use!

No problem over here in the Upper Burncoat area of Worcester, MA with a 520H and 44" blower this morning.

Cut through this slop with ease.

Nice, the other reason I didn't use the 44" is its leaking gear oil out the brake pulley seal. I planned on dealing with that once the 350lb blower is off

How much work do you think it would be to make one of these blowers into a 36".

Bought this rig this winter and didn't realize how wide it was.

Have not taken one of these blowers off yet.

May Have to look you up if I run into any issues.

I have plenty of beer on tap :)

Easier to make it a 32". The 44" is a based of the commercial toro 8 and 11/32 snowblower. It's widened, has thicker side plates, heavier auger axles. Also the transfer case (belt to chain) skids are located different all the attachment points and a few other things. Making the 32" off a walk behind  work might be easier than narrowing the 44". Either way sounds like a lot of work

I thought I'd have the mower deck on at this point, in a way it's good I still haven't sanded and painted it. I'll get that done this week. I'm still working on the the 18hp workhorse too. Need a longer day
