BOB ELLISON 2,981 #28 Posted March 31, 2017 I have a B80 and a C160 and I don't see any difference except the engines. Mine has the 6 speed hi-lo and if I put weight on the b80 it would pull just as good as the c160. The frames and body I think are the same. These b80's are built heavy duty as the C series. Ther B80 is a Great heavy duty tractor and gas sippers.

slim67 2,809 #30 Posted April 1, 2017 When I got this tractor it had an aftermarket carb on it put on by seller. I think it was a Tecumseh with an adapter. I noticed the original carb and air filter sitting on a shelf. I told him I would much rather have the OEM carb even if it needs servicing. He kept his and gave me the original. He also couldn't get the engine to turn over but I told him I wasn't concerned and was buying it as is. I cleaned the carb in my parts washer and soaked all the pieces . I blew it out thoroughly forwards and back and gave it a good once over. The throttle and choke shafts were nice and tight and main needle and air needles were in beautiful shape. I always very lightly clean the needles on a wire wheel. Some people may frown on this but as I said its very light and cleans everything up nice. It makes adjustments easier and I put a dab of oil on the threads when I reinstall them .I gave it two coats of paint and will install it tomorrow. I also turned it over and spayed a shot of starting fluid into manifold and it sounded like a Kohler. Here is the carb and hopefully the fuel pump is good and I can run it tomorrow.
