Mthrtrkr 62 #1 Posted March 23, 2017 Is a Kohler 301s worth $40? Needs to be rebuilt.
doc724 924 #2 Posted March 23, 2017 Providing the block is not cracked, I think so. Even if the next buyer does not want to rebuild it, tins and linkage are worth that much
Mthrtrkr 62 #3 Posted March 23, 2017 (edited) The guy told me it was running then after engaging the deck a few times he said he heard a pop and they put the tractor in the scrap pile. It still spins but obviously no compression. He has 2 horses out there and are both autos....Told me I could have the whole tractor for $100 Edited March 23, 2017 by Mthrtrkr
pfrederi 17,147 #4 Posted March 23, 2017 What models are we talking about? A non working hydro isn't worth much because you do not know if the hydro also has issues. If you throw a rod on a K series single it A: has a whole lot of hours or B: never had its oil changed. In both cases that sort of treatment doesn't bode well for the hydro unit. Mthrtrkr 62 #5 Posted March 23, 2017 Ill have to get back on the models....One was a homesteader, farmsteader????? Should've taken pictures. The tractors themselves are in rough shape no doubt
