TravelinJavelin 620 #1 Posted February 8, 2017 Well this might sound dumb but was wondering when the shrouding is all stripped off will other's interchange? why I ask this is I've found a nice 953 and right now I have a 10hp k241 from a model 102 cub cadet thought about keeping the motor as a spare but wanted to make sure all the tin work around it would interchange and starter/gen flywheel rings too? Shynon 7,482 #2 Posted February 8, 2017 they may be the same, but if the cub motor is a small base block, with a cast pan then it is possible that the bearing plate on the motor is smaller hence a smaller shroud. You would need to take them both off and check.
TravelinJavelin 620 #3 Posted February 8, 2017 well i'm glad I had asked thank you for that info..............so I guess what I should do is find a motor that actually come off a horse then and save some aggrevation
