Marv 982 #1 Posted January 30, 2017 The exhaust valve on my K321 looks odd to me. Looking down on the top of the valve there is a raised ridge around the circumference (not carbon). The stem is not uniform in diameter, the area just below the valve has a taper like a neck before the stem becomes normal size . The stem does not appear to be eroded or overheated. I don't recall ever seeing a valve made this way. Enlighten me please. Marvin
oldredrider 2,553 #2 Posted January 30, 2017 A picture is worth a 1000 words! Regardless, if the valve is not symmetrical, it needs to be replaced. Valve guide wear could lead to the description you noted
illinilefttackle 399 #3 Posted January 30, 2017 A picture would be nice- But I have seen valves like you are describing- last one was on my K301. The taper only is as long as the part of the valve that is in the exhaust stream- not touching the valve guide- Al
