 Ever since i bought the C=175 i have had problems with the wireing and have replaced every wire , and yesterday it quit again, giggled the wireing and started right up, thought i may have a short somewhere so took it to the shop and started checking everthing couldn't find a thing, giggled the wires again and wouldn' start , got the needle nose plierrs and started clamping the connections on the swithch and got a spark, the switch looks great no rust, connections look great, so took it off and there was something wrong on the inside..somethng ratteling around inside, so i got a new switch and it started right up.so i guess no matter how good it looks, it can still be broken.. have checked and double checked the wireing, hopefully this takes care of it

I know just how you feel. A few years ago I was restoring a car and had just completed bending and fabbing up and entire brake line setup. I had reused the old brass unions as they looked good and after I cleaned them up put the whole thing together. Everything went fine and then I saw a slight puddle of gas about midway back on the floor of the garage. I figured I made a bad flare on the long section of brake line , so I fab up a new piece. Took about an hour. Put everything back together again and about twenty minutes later guess what? Another puddle.. Turns out it was the UNION that had a hairline crack from 50 years of stress. Looked great couldn't even see the crack. Ah the joys of chasing mechanical gremlins... <_

If you got a puddle of gas out of a brakeline.....you have much more serious problems than you realize.
