With all the interest in potatoes i thought i would post some pictures of my spud lifter.

i found this at a friends place half buried and covered in brambles, I think its from a Ransomes mg of the mid 50s.

i had it shot blasted and painted it, ive altered the fitting so that it fits the slot hitch on my Raider 12.

We did a family vacation in PEI last summer and toured some local museums including the potato museum.

 

Got to see lots of potato diggers.

 

None that looked like yours though. You have that one looking like new almost.

Have you used it yet? If so how well does it work for you? Do you use this with your other set? Make the furrows with them? Nice find/save.

Ive not used this one yet but ive seen them used behind other machines with great success
