If you need front rims for your RJ58,59 etc.

Note: If the mods feel they need to move this to the classified section please do so. I thought it is important for all who need these to make sure they see it.

I found these while looking for some surplus stuff and didn't want to say anything till I got them and made sure they were for real. These rims are almost identical to the originals that came on the RJs etc. The spacing of the center hub is very close. The bore of the bushings that are in there is one inch but can be replaced with ones with 3/4" which is what whe need for our tractors. They have been painted at one time but the ones I recieved have no rust what so ever on them. Here are the measurements old verse new:

LotImg4913.jpg

1. Rim diameter is the same

2. The width (very outside edge) of the WH rim is 4.5" these are 4.6".

3. Distance from the outside edge of the rim to the end of the long portion of the hub on the same side is the same.

4. Outside diameter of the hub on the WH is 1 5/8" these are 1 1/2"

5. The biggest difference is the short side of the hub. The WH is .45" lower than the edge of the rim. These are 1" lower than the edge of the rim. This distance can be made up by adding a spacer.

If you have had as hard of a time as I have finding replacements, these are for you. Sure beats the wheel barrel rims some people use. I have no ties to the people selling them. I'm just trying to help out my brother Horseman.

Here is the Ebay link:

Rims and Tires

For $12.25 "Buy ity Now" plus $27.24 shipping (Total $39.49), you get 4 rims and tires (I even emailed them before I bought them to confirm, Yes 4 complete rim and tire assemblies) The tires are in pretty good shape and have tubes in them. I may just use them.

Hope this helps out some of you.

People here had to of bought them. When I posted this afternoon, they had three sets of four left. I had been watching these for a while and they hadn't moved in weeks. Hope some of the guys here took advantage.

If anyone ordered these, chime in and let us know.

jerrell,

Did you email them and ask if they had more? If i'm not mistaken, when I emailed them they said they had lots.

Fireman,

Thanks for the heads up. After reading your post this morning, I asked my wife to order a set. She thought the "3 available" meant 3 tires were available and ordered them for me. When she saw the invoice, she emailed the seller and asked for the order to be changed to one set. So unless someone else has ordered some , there should be at least two sets still available.

WheelHorse_of_course

uhhhh does anyone know off hand if the 854 would have the same type of wheels?

I am not a restorer-type guy so I am not sure I care, but the ones on my 854 are obviously not original.

Scott:

Go back to their eBay listing above (Trifecta Sales Surplus Center), click on their 'Store', then within their Store Search type in: "nylon tires, 4.80/4.00 x 8.30", as of noon Monday they still had four sets of four left (I ordered a set of four on Saturday).

Just got my set of four. The rims were painted Red and the tread looks brand new, never used. Should be an easy/inexpensive conversion to make into RJ rims, which is what I need. Thanks Fireman for the great suggestion . . . [as of 1/22/09 they still had 3 sets of four left].

Mine arrived today, and I'm happy to say they certainly are worth a heck of a lot more than what I paid for 'em! How rare is THAT in this world! :horseplay:
