Drive belt slipping when snow plowing?

Hello everyone. I have an issue that arose when plowing snow today. It was my first time plowing snow with my 520-H and blade attachment. My problem is that I was pushing snow when the tractor would suddenly stop and then go again. It would do this periodically. I later noticed that ice was building up around the pullies and the little fan that cools the hydro drive. Any help that you could shoot my way would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

A little WD-40 or some similar water displacer may help around the pulleys. As for the belt slippage, it may be time for a new one, and be sure to use genuine OEM parts.
