Mike'sHorseBarn 2,673 #1 Posted December 28, 2016 I thought I would take a stab at replacing the dead coil on my 401 today. Used a cheap prime line coil and I had to really mess with it to get it to fit. Saw a video on YouTube from vinsrj about the same coil and he had to file the back side of it the same as I did. My question is, do you think the wires will rub the collar of the flywheel? I don't think I can zip tie them to the coil to hold them back as the plastic will probably melt. Can I use wire? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
953 nut 51,881 #2 Posted December 28, 2016 Use a rubber band to hold the wires in place; then JB Weld them in place against the coil (may help to sans the spot on the coil first).
