Snowblower and a drone

Any one have a drone or quad copter that they could  video a wheel horse blowing Snow?  I think that would be a pretty cool  thing to watch

I know a guy that has an 8 rotor unit and a GoPro  he uses to video stuff for folks - that is an idea ....

We're forcasted for nearly/over 50*F in the next few days and rain/snow/whatever conditions - probably not going to happen anytime soon . One thing I know about drones - their power systems and electronics aren't exactly cold weather compatible unless it's a pretty high end model . I'll check into it , Illinois is bound to get hammered at least once this winter as we always do . The guys in upstate New York are the ones that could produce some interesting blower videos - maybe something is already out there on YouTube .

We are going to have to have a contest now on who can throw snow the highest and farthest.  Maybe some target shooting too!

I know this is a slightly off topic video but it highlights long range snowblowing for sure.  It would be super cool with a drone videoing...

Yep, that's pretty much what my 2stage can do ,it's kinda hard to actually see  exactly what mine was doing this past January with the still shots and cell phone video, but through 2' + and and frozen on top with the wind whipping it was seemed close to that,Jeff.

Jeff, I'm totally impressed with your machine fo' sure!  I'll be taking your suggestions on my two stage either sometime this winter or for sure next spring.  That would be totally cool to have a sweet drone video of your machine at work

Jack, if it wasn't from all the tid bits and info I gleaned from several other members of ,my 2stage wouldn't be the beast it is or my single stage for that matter, and of course that Onan power spinning it, now with 40 lbs of Dxi torque it really ought to rip ...someday maybe ,Jeff. I just wonder does that video 520 2stage snow blowing(mp4) I posted work for you guys ?,sorry IDK how to convert it..

he's a JD owner--what do you expect?  He's too busy showing off how awesome his machine to worry about a detail like throwing the snow into his shed or maybe he is clearing his neighbors place???

That is the beauty of this forum Jeff, not only the cool ideas and functional upgrades that guys have done, but their willingness to share them to the community!

I couldn't watch it on my phone but I was able to "watch" it on the computer.  It was really grainy though and hard to see much.  A much more tech savvy guy will have to tell you how to covert it.  I'm lucky that I can find my way around the forum  I've found that having my own YouTube channel seems to work the best.  I can upload from my phone, tablet, or older video camera to it, then post the link.
