Hunter29 2 #1 Posted December 13, 2016 Hello, new member, I have a 1974 or 76 B 80, looking for new front wheel bearings , where can I find them ? thanks..
BOB ELLISON 2,981 #2 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) I got mine from familyfarm and home it's like tractor supply for less then $3.00 each. The only thing I don't like about them is the bearing is sealed and not open like the original bearings. But they do work. I would look on flee Bay if you want original bearings . Others may have info also on where to buy. Welcome to the best wheel horse site you'll ever find. Nice to see another Michigan member Edited December 13, 2016 by BOB ELLISON

Hunter29 2 #5 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Thanks guys, Rochester here, Plowed the driveway twice since the snow, first time I used the WH in 14 years. Got a 29 HP Kubota but no plow, just a rear blade not made for snow, last summer I thought I would put the WH back in action and I love it, had this B 80 since I was a teen, but looking to the future to keel it running.. Fun Engineer 859 #6 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Hunter 29. A lot of quality hardware stores will have them also. Check out your local Ace or Aco hardware. Dave (Gaylord) Just stopped at my local Aco which is always high. $4.30 each. Edited December 14, 2016 by Fun Engineer
Sarge 3,464 #7 Posted December 13, 2016 Look for a wheel bearing that doesn't have a stamped housing - those are a little more expensive but far higher quality and will actually last awhile . These are the junk , cheap stamped housing type - http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-WHEEL-HORSE-GARDEN-TRACTOR-PULLING-FRONT-WHEEL-BEARINGS-JOHN-DEERE-AM127304-/141748670748?hash=item2100e1111c:g:Rh0AAOSw-jhT~Lwy This is the more heavily built precision bearing - very few stores will carry these in stock as they are rated for far more weight and side thrust - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-3-4-Heavy-Duty-Front-Wheel-Bearings-Garden-Tractor-Front-Cub-Cadet-More-/271955106195?hash=item3f51c99993:g:7ncAAOSw9N1Vyqtb On my old 1277 - the cheap hardware store stamped versions won't last 1 day with the loaded/weighted front tires and using it's blade to move rock/dirt/snow - the side thrust will wipe them out amazingly quick . BMW1 42 #8 Posted December 13, 2016 The bearing should have a number on it. Find the number and take the bearing to NAPA. They can usually find it. I've had good luck doing that with mower spindle bearings. They usually are a little more expensive than some of the ones found in an internet search, but they are usually better quality. Not, that hard to find, just a little pricey. Toro 101835, partstree $77.00, Amazon $97.00. Sure someone here has a used one. If not $80.00 ain't to bad for something that will last another 40 years.
Fun Engineer 859 #13 Posted December 14, 2016 Hunter29 Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Call One of the Wiengartz stores in your area. Utica or Waterford. They will have what you need or can order it. Marks Small Engine in Northville was my go to Wheel Horse parts store when I lived downstate. Ask for Kay.
