grinchsr 647 #1 Posted December 1, 2016 Just picked up a 1989 310-8 with electric lift and I was wondering if all 310's came with it or was it added on? Also is there any thing I need to know about the electric lift to keep it happy and working? I never had one before this purchase.
Jerry77 1,218 #2 Posted December 1, 2016 It was after-market - probably installed by a dealer - I have one on my 516H - I like it - it is slow compared to the hydro units, but easier to get the right up/down setting that you want.- has power down too ....easily lifts around 250 pounds - after that would be doubtful without a helper spring. I wouldn't want to overload it even tho it is self-limiting..
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,512 #3 Posted December 2, 2016 This is the one listed for 1989 but suspect they missed one Here is a manual for the next model that followed the two listed above. At the end of the day they may be all the same. Garry
grinchsr 647 #4 Posted December 2, 2016 Thanks for the info Jerry. Did it look like the one in my pic?
grinchsr 647 #5 Posted December 2, 2016 Thanks Garry! Are you sure you did not work for Wheel Horse? LOL I find it hard to believe this motor will pick up a tiller or blower but what I read it is supposed to.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,540 #6 Posted December 2, 2016 linear actuators (electric lift motors) can lift a good amount.

I don't know where you read that, but I doubt it woud pick up a snow blower...with my 42 inch blade and a 200 pound load on top of that, it did pick it up without the clutch slipping, but I wouldn't want to do that very often... c-series don 10,124 #9 Posted December 2, 2016 The only factory installed electric lift that I know of was on the 417-418 8 speeds which I always thought would be a great rototilling tractor.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,612 #10 Posted December 2, 2016 From the 1986 brochure. 417-8, bubble no. 9 shows the electric lift.

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,612 #12 Posted December 2, 2016 Slammer had a 417-8 at Larry's M&G show in Warsaw this year. It was for sale (I think he sold it since then). If I had the money at that time (and room to haul it home on the trailer), it would be mine today. The picture below shows his 417-8 and behind it you can see my 416-8. I took a look at how that electric actuator was attached and was thinking it would have been nice on my 416-8.
