The battery and battery tray are bigger than the lawn and garden style: My two D-160s and my D-200 all have top post automotive style batteries and the battery trays are larger for those batteries. Here is the 1978 D-200 battery. Here is one of the D-160s. They could all get by with the smaller lawn and garden style batteries.
