A Rat Rod....sounds cool , but I think I'm just going to finish it with an oil-up.    Sorry , But these older rangers are't found often here .....and those are my favorite tractors .   (please, no eye rolls;))

No need, the fact that you saved another lawn ranger is good enough for me! :text-bravo:

Thanks to "Eagle Eye" Shynon down in Medford for pointing me in the right direction

Just wanted to make sure it made it to the "Lawn Ranger King":ychain::hide:  I thought it was a pretty nice looking ranger with a lot of potential, glad to see you picked it up, besides I'm out of room.

Nice one...looks like a 1963 too. I agree it's too nice and has that perfect patina look not to leave it that way...nice find!

That'll make a nice original, Terry.  I'd oil it too.  :handgestures-thumbup:

Nice find, Terry.  There are a couple on the local CL here, but I haven't really caught the Lawn Ranger fever yet.  One is listed as a '50s.   I think there was or still might be a front blade for a Ranger on the local CL.

So besides a rear engine rider is this the smallest WH made? It may be those tires but it really looks small.

  Mike....

As far as I know it's the smallest "looking"  ....Has the same size hood, frame, belt guard and unidrive as the 60's short frames.   Just that the Lawn Ranger is equipped with a different hood stand , rear fenders('62-'64)rear fender pan and support section and steering wheel ('65-'68) Just to name a few. Lawn ranger mower decks and snow plows are made specifically for the Lawn rangers and are the only two implements, that I know of, made only for these Model tractors.  Someday I'd like to do some pics of the different Lawn Rangers for people to see the differences.  Very simple tractors and one of my favorite models:)

There was a Lawn Ranger specific snow blower as well.  There is  member here who uses one to clear his driveway.

I thought I remember hearing that a while back...Though I don't think I've ever seen one.     If you ever get a chance, snap a picture of it, for me.:)

I have one of those snow blowers , the housing is the basic same size as the rest made in the 60's but the arms to mount it are very low angle and pretty short . Didn't take the time to really look up the model number , just modified the arms to fit my long frame units and a new flag/lift tube since most of that stuff was missing . Made some blower wings - still using it in recent years and it works fine with the exception of the housing has suffered from some big rocks last year and needs repaired .
