gt4 196 #1 Posted November 19, 2016 How would the easiest way to get at this nut on the back of the choke cable be. Do i have to remove the steering wheel and tower?
KC9KAS 4,744 #2 Posted November 19, 2016 I usually have the cable end removed from the carb. I then use an open end wrench on the nut (behind the hood stand) and use a channel lock pliers (with a rag for protection) on the outside knob end and turn from the knob end. This is why I remove the cable from carb 1st. Once broke loose it can usually be turned by hand. This method works for me! Good luck! Be sure to use some penetrating lube 1st.
BOB ELLISON 2,981 #3 Posted November 19, 2016 I did mine just as KC9KAS said disconnect from carb I slide a lone socket on it . I can't remember the size maybe 7/8 . Then I use a pair of channel locks on socket. It's not easy to get to.
