AlwaysLookin80 1,308 #1 Posted November 18, 2016 I brought this home the same time I picked up the 856. I really love these little tractors. It had the wrong engine but i managed to also acquire a correct Kohler k90 for it and promptly installed it . Needs a few minor things but I'm happy to have it.

AlwaysLookin80 1,308 #9 Posted November 20, 2016 So I spent this morning digging parts out and got the 35 more complete. Put a painted seat on, correct tires and wheels, and I think I'm just going to put new stickers on and do a oil rub.
VinsRJ 721 #10 Posted November 22, 2016 Looks like a great score!... no oil rub though.
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,497 #11 Posted November 22, 2016 more and more I am liking them "old" looking. Glenn
jsp_333 231 #12 Posted November 22, 2016 Gotta agree with vin about the oil rub. Did my '57 like that and it never looked quite right. Can't really describe it other than the rj looked like it was trying to be something it wasn't. Cheers

As old as I'm getting I might as well like the old look too; oh, you were talking about the RJ! I like the way it looks now; rusty and dusty.
ACman 7,575 #14 Posted November 23, 2016 ...all that ! They earned that look and will only have it once . Barn fresh , all dirty and pirty !
AlwaysLookin80 1,308 #15 Posted November 23, 2016 Well maybe I'll steel wool it to get the dirt off and put new stickers on it and leave it alone with no oil rub😂 It does look nice like that

Blow it off with an air gun and ride-a-way
Coadster32 793 #17 Posted November 23, 2016 Nice score for certain! Just wondering if new stickers will look right on that machine the way it sits, (they might stand out...alot). You're tractor though, and I respect that. Good luck with it either way, and have fun with it.
