ed hackett 1 #1 Posted November 15, 2016 Is there anyone that can suggest a replacement carburetor for my K301. I have a 1965 1276 that had a carb replacement sometime in its life. The problem is there are no part number stampings anywhere on the carb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....................Ed

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,440 #4 Posted November 15, 2016 Welcome to the forum. Could try and find an original part number for you. What is the spec number on the engine ID tag? The 1276 is a 1966 model. Is it a 1965 or 1966 model? Garry
mmmmmdonuts 274 #5 Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) I bought the one Ed linked to a while ago. If I remember correctly I had to take one of the linkages (throttle or choke) of the old one and put it on the new one because the order was reversed from the old carb to the new carb. Just something to be aware of when you purchase. The carb does work fantastic though and did not need any tuning out of the box. Ed Kennell 41,775 #6 Posted November 15, 2016 It is the choke that usually needs reversed. Compare yours to the pictures of the new one. Sometimes they will offer both choke levers. Pardon my manners......

Went under the name "wheelman" but its since been taken. The spec number of this fine k301 is 47 12b. Serial number is S A 154532. I believe the corn sqeeze in the gas ate up a good portion of the carb. All of the operation and service manuals have a print date of 10-08-65. It was a one owner tractor when my dad bought it. Thanks for taking some time with me as I hope to find a carb. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks ... Ed Hackett kaceofparadise@hotmail.com On 11/15/2016 at 1:07 AM, roadapples said: Thank you. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,440 #9 Posted November 17, 2016 Good reference on carbs. The kits in this manual are the complete carb. Found these carb numbers 47-053-13, 47-853-02, 47-853-22 and 47-853-22S and they are in the above manual. https://www.partstree.com/parts/kohler-engines/engines-horizontal/k301-4712-kohler-k301-engine-k-series-wheel-horse-12hp-9kw-specs-4710-47835/carburetor-tp-2097/ They may help in getting the correct replacement.
