ClassicTractorProfessor 5,366 #1 Posted November 2, 2016 Nice evening tonight so figured I'd service the wife's Commando V8 and get it ready for winter. It has the VH80 Tecumseh on it. Got the oil changed, pulled the plug (which looked pretty bad), it's a Champion L87YC. Never heard of this plug before, is this the correct plug or do I need to pick up a different one tomorrow. Also does anyone know what air filter this thing takes, filter is in horrible shape and I cannot find any numbers anywhere on it...thanks in advance
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,285 #2 Posted November 3, 2016 By chance is this your spec number? 31925 air cleaner looks different https://www.partstree.com/parts/tecumseh/parts/31925/ Garry
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,366 #3 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) Yes Garry I just went out to make sure and that is the spec number, and yes that air filter does look different, not sure if the one I have is even the right filter??? It's the one that was in the tractor when we bought it this past spring Edited November 3, 2016 by Professor1990
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,285 #4 Posted November 3, 2016 See if this link to the Stens filter works. Dimensions are listed 4-3/8" OD x 3" ID x 2-3/8" high. https://www.bantasaw.com/catalog/viewproduct.asp?i=&p=1 RCPW replace the 33636 spark plug with a Champion RJ17LM. The original parts list shows J-8 but know many have been replaced by the RJ17LM. Garry
