I got what I think is a well dumb question,on a k321 or any side shaft that the pulley is on the right side ,sitting on machine.is the motor turning, forward or back.im thinking clockwise.ive seen a few vids that look like there turning counterclockwise.

I guess you would think pulley needs to go forward but guess not.i suppose if all else fails with this motor I could throw on one from a snowblower ,I got lots of those.just one of those things I never realy thought of.

ya I see some nice ones but got to at least try this out ,and go from there don't seem like has much compression just by turning over by hand.not even shure if tranny works or 3pt hitch.

I always know reg. verticals turn that way .but for some reason I'm always thinking a side shaft turns clockwise from pto side, not shure why, maybe cause driving forward ,you would think pulley needs to go that way.

CCW viewed from the PTO side.    That is why the belt tensioning pulley is on the top loop of the drive belt.  The bottom of the engine drive pulley is pulling the bottom loop of the belt that goes directly to the tranny pulley turning it  CCW also.

just always thinking goes cw even though looking at a vertical shaft on its side goes same way.just never thought of it that way.thanks, for reply's

just got rid of a Wisconsin-robin 12hp sideshaft not shure if ran but was complete.,traded for a Tecumseh 10hp,for xtra parts on snowblowers since I sell a lot of those and don't have any xtra wisconsins sitting around.maybe should've kept that instead.
