Elkskin's mower junkyard 1,117 #1 Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) heres the good news i got the parts for the k181t i stuck on it. now the bad news. trans is shot (well in need of being opened atleast) and i aint doing internal work on trans. but i am not giving up. current trans pops out of high gear and grinds a little when releasing clutch (and i know the clutch pulley is making a little noise ill address it tomorrow). operates pretty well in reverse 1st and 2nd. but heres where the fun starts instead of putting the 8 speed in the b80. theres nothing wrong with trans in b80 that i know of besides the shifter being rotted. so ill deal with that next year i got 2 shifters has spares. the 8 speed out of the c125 will be going in this ill do swap tomorrow i looked it over looks pretty easy. clueless 3,257 #3 Posted October 18, 2016 Could you get a couple of pictures of how yours choke and throttle are hooked up to the engine? I have the same engine, has the cable attachment system as yours, just like to see how the cables hook to it. Thanks, Chris.

Thanks, Chris. ok i will. i hooked up the cables after video. had to drill a hole for choke cable to fit in the choke lever on engine. this engine is a low hour replacement for a heavy duty snowblower lol Edited October 18, 2016 by craftsmanmowerfreak

May put it on a c81 or my 702, one day just want to see how the cables a routed. then you would need pics from my dads 502 if you was to put that m8 in a 702. we are using a carter carb on a m8 with a k161 airfilter assembly only thing not done to dads 502 is choke isnt hooked up. i need to get correct cable. one thing i like about the magnums and the nerwer look k181 like what i put on the commando 800 is that you can get away with a regular universal choke cable has a throttle cable it doesnt suck it in. Elkskin's mower junkyard 1,117 #12 Posted October 18, 2016 so no one says anything about tearing down a wheel horse you know the old saying one must die to make others live. heres the c125. its so badly rusted that using it for parts was only thing i could do. entire dash tower tins are riddled with rust and both sides are rotted badly by the frame. so its slowly coming apart
