Clutch

Recommended Posts

I am new to this but here is my problem.........I put the drive belt back on, started it up just fine, the pulleys and belts are moving. I put it into gear and no movement. Also I can put it into gear without moving the clutch with no grinding but no movement, which I believe is the problem. The belt moves when pressing the clutch in. But I figured if I can put it into gear without the clutch and without a grinding noise, Something is not grabbing.....on a side note my seat switch is now on which wasn't before and the odd thing is the wires to the seat switch is disconnected......stumped

Welcome to Redsquare

What kind of tractor is it

Sounds like you may have mis-routed the drive belt .

I would check the keyway on the input shaft pully kind of sounds like it may of sheared for the not grinding part. Also is your belt guard installed? You have to have it on for the belt to stop.

Welcome to Red Square. Did it work okay before changing the belt? If so and only change is the new belt I would double check belt length since it only goes around 3 pulleys hard to route it wrong.

Keyway on the transmission input shaft is probably sheared, or the belt is not the right size or completely worn out.
