Detector 72 #1 Posted September 24, 2016 Today is/was suppose to be paint day on the frame, kinda frustrated with this Horse. Got everything prepped last night, rear is slightly higher than the front. Well go out this morning and the top of the dipstick had dripped oil all over the transmission and ground? It has not had a motor on it in a month...pull out the dipstick and get a burp & the fluid falls to the bottom of the fill tube. I got it cleaned up, has these machines with Hydros got to be level for extended periods?
pfrederi 18,640 #2 Posted September 24, 2016 Had you filled it recently?? Never had an issue of not sitting level causing a problem. How high is the rear relative to the front.

Forgot to add I did roll it a few feet ever so slowly yesterday before removing the tires, I wonder if it built up pressure somehow No have not filled it lately, the front was about 8-10" higher than the rear. I have the line at the pump plugged and at the oil filter housing, filter is still on it but taped up
pfrederi 18,640 #4 Posted September 24, 2016 I would guess pushing it around with some of the lines blocked may have caused a pressure build up. Is this a Sundstrand or Eaton. If sunstrand did you release the tow valve.
Detector 72 #5 Posted September 24, 2016 Eaton 1100, yea somehow the old Horse puked from moving it around yesterday but that was around 6 pm, kinda odd over 14 hours later but pulling the dipstick out solved it.... my respirators are put up, fans are running & I'm done for the day.
