WHX?? 51,733 #1 Posted September 19, 2016 This is my dad's tractor. Why he got it I have no idea as he is too old to operate it but I guess he figured I would and use it to pull logs out of the woods and make firewood. It runs good and the only issue is one of the boom rams like to leak occasionally. I am looking for manuals for it but first need a model # and It appears there is no id tag on it. There are four holes in the dash that look like there might have been there but removed for painting or ?? The on tag that is there is for the loader. I'm guessing that it is 1960 - 64 vintage. It was bought new by my dad's brothers for their construction business back in that time frame. If any body can help out on this or suggest another site that maybe could much appreciated. It has a hydro transmission with a high/low and 1st/2nd gear selector and foot pedal forward/reverse shuttle. loader tag

The MF34 loader you have was used on these two industrial models. The 30 came with a 4cyl Perkins gas or diesel engine. The 40 came with a 3cyl Perkins gas or diesel engine. This is my best guess. Or could be a 2200 with the square fenders and the rops canopy from my Google images search . You could see if the engine has a model and serial number data plate also . Then check with your nearest AGCO/Massey dealer to see if they could narrow it down . I do know if you have the Perkings diesel ( maybe gas also ) on the bottom of the engine near the front there should be a casting date .

WHX?? 51,733 #5 Posted September 20, 2016 Thanks Russell he does enjoy it, in fact a little too much. He couldn't figure out how to operate the draft & lift levers for the 3 point. Needless to say that box scraper does a nice job even when one does not want it to! I now have an hour of work straightening out the driveway... I do believe it is MF-40 from my other research and it has the 4 cylinder Perkins diesel. I will have to look for those engine tags to nail it down. I also found out the rops was optional in the day and could be equipped with a loader or backhoe. Either way it is a nice thing to have around and a real worker. Off to at least a operators manual and possibly a service manual.

I need to snap a pic with my phone and post it here
