kudzu3 323 #1 Posted September 11, 2016 Okay, I've been wanting to ask this question for a long time, just too embarrassed, thinking it must be a really stupid one, and maybe I should know the answer. 1970 Raider 10, the ignition switch cranks the engine and stays all the way to the right, which is as it should be, but if I want to use the lights I have to turn it one click to the left. Is this normal? Why does the switch have two positions?
953 nut 59,356 #2 Posted September 11, 2016 My GT-14 has the same type switch. To operate the electric PTO I have to turn it back one click; guess it is to make sure the lights aren't on and PTO is not engaged drawing current while starting the engine. Or it could be the lawyers had more pull than the engineers!
