Okay, I've been wanting to ask this question for a long time, just too embarrassed, thinking it must be a really stupid one, and maybe I should know the answer. 1970 Raider 10, the ignition switch cranks the engine and stays all the way to the right, which is as it should be, but if I want to use the lights I have to turn it one click to the left. Is this normal? Why does the switch have two positions?

My GT-14 has the same type switch. To operate the electric PTO I have to turn it back one click; guess it is to make sure the lights aren't on and PTO is not engaged drawing current while starting the engine. Or it could be the :wh: lawyers had more pull than the engineers!    :confusion-confused:
