Nope, but I knew it wouldn't fit into that little bed on the Dakota.  And I hate backing up that little 4 x 8 trailer, plus I need to work on the lights.  The 6 x 12 trailer pulls nice and I can lay the tail gate down into the bed so no wind drag.  And it will be easier to load and unload.

I'm trailer-less right now. Whenever I see one I get all googly-eyed! shifty.gif

I think you need a passport to get in that country.  Luckily I sneaked in and didn't have to go through customs like some do.

I think Steve was a bit conservative on his view of this 701.  It's in nicer shape than what he led me to believe.  Now I'm thinking how to get more of the red machines out of his dad's barn.

It was really nice meeting you FINALLY today Terry!   Thanks for coming up.  You're going to enjoy meeting Eric too when he comes after his cart...probably nobody more knowledgable about RJ's.

It it was nice having Ed from Indiana here too. He put in a long day today.

Four tractors, the cart, a tiller, and some odds and ends left here today.  I'm really enjoying this part of the hobby sending these things out the door to better homes.   Hope you enjoy the tractor!

It was nice meeting you also, Steve.  And it was nice meeting your dad.  There was a lot of stuff in that barn to distract me, for sure.  I would love to bring those two 953s home with me, but I have to see what the CFO says.  I may have to sell,.....er......my '66 JD 110.  But it such a nice tractor I probably won't.  I know I'll regret it if I did.

Give Eric my contact info so we can hook up when he's up near this area so he can pick the cart up.  I might have to break it in for him.:hide:

T-Mo I like that design of tail gate. Make it easy if you want throw a trap over it. Nice trailer.

I went out and took a closer look at the 701 this morning.  It has a 8 hp Kohler replacement engine on it, and it has a pull rope pulley on it.  The starter/generator is underneath the seat, and I don't know if it's functional.  If it is, it might work on this engine, though the pulleys might be a bit big to clear the starter/generator belt guard, which I took off when I transported it home yesterday.  It has the seat back and it's in fair condition.  Spark plug was out of the engine, but the engine is free.  I need to check to see if I have spark and then I'll try and start it.

if you want to sell the 110 let me know. if you you ever want to restore it, let me know as well. i have enough NOS parts to completely restore a dozen or more round fenders, engines and transmissions included. good score on the 701, it looks like an easy restore.

Nice tow rig T-mo, I have a matching 2wd! I love the truck, just don't care for the poor mileage of the 4.7 V8!

Adam,

My 110 is pretty nice and really needs nothing. I have hubcaps for it and it has a front weight bracket for suitcase weights.  I'll start a thread on it in the off-brand section below.

Randy,

I hear you on the mileage of the 4.7, but it does have plenty of power.  In fact it has more power and tows better than m son-in-laws 5.4 in his F150.

I took more pictures this morning with the hood off.

If I do, I'll bring some shape charges and leave a road crater behind so I can escape.  I do have the know how, you know, being a former 12B Combat Engineer.  I also may leave a some other obstacles behind, say a minefield.

Nice Round Hood you have there!

Just a quick note....As I look a all the photos of our newly acquired GT's, I often notice cans of PB Blaster and of course Sea Foam.

The manufactures of these products should send some "kick-back" to Red Square for advertising!!
