classicdmax 190 #1 Posted September 8, 2016 I purchased and just received 2 front rims from a forum member here. Upon inspection I noticed the hubs are slightly different....being one seems to have bearings, as the other has plastic/poly bushings. I think I'd prefer the bearings for obvious reasons, my question is, can I purchase wheel bearings for said wheel or am I looking at tracking down another wheel to match. I have what seems to be 1 oem wheel on the machine now, but don't have time to yank it off to check hub type until the weekend.
Achto 29,408 #2 Posted September 8, 2016 (edited) 1 3/8 x 3/4 bearings work in most front rims. Knock the bushings out & install bearings. Edited September 8, 2016 by achto
wallfish 18,154 #3 Posted September 8, 2016 Most common are 1 3/8 OD with a 3/4 bore. Use a long rod and a hammer to remove them.
gregg'shorses 77 #4 Posted September 8, 2016 A well made bearing is available at Napa , it might need to be special ordered part # 7-04292 . http://www.primelinepe.com/
classicdmax 190 #5 Posted September 8, 2016 My ocd got the best of me, so I yanked the existing wheel ....it does have a bearing as opposed to bushings. Whilst it was off I decided to aggravate myself and pry the tire off. now the plan is to have them blasted so I can get paint on them. Think I'm gonna go black as I think the white will stand out too much on a patinad tractor
