Jerry77 1,218 #1 Posted September 4, 2016 Anyone know the weight of the rear end (eaton1100 transaxle) for shipping purposes? I used 150 lbs to get an estimate from fedx and ups and came up with a little over $ 1 a mile...can't do that - maybe I am way off on the weight..If you don't know, give me a good guess...looking for shipping from around Richmond Virginia to Bedford Indiana
rmaynard 16,326 #2 Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) Call your local Fastenal store. They ship stuff like that pretty cheaply. If you put it on a pallet and deliver it to your local store, they will put it on the next truck going out and ultimately to a store nearest the final destination. Jerry77 1,218 #3 Posted September 4, 2016 I'll do that in the morning, but according to the website I'll need a dimension and weight on the item......thanks for the info
rmaynard 16,326 #4 Posted September 4, 2016 Just say you have a pallet that is 24" x 24", and a weight of 150#. That should be close enough to get a quote.
bmsgaffer 2,053 #5 Posted September 5, 2016 I would say 150 - 200. I always used 150 on shipping quotes too.
Jerry77 1,218 #6 Posted September 5, 2016 Thanks everybody - got enough info now -Just for info - I'm trying to get my 516H set up for one of my boys - it runs good, looks good and the 700 eaton is performing well...but I know it won't in the future, so I am getting it set up for future use ..Already gave my 314-8 to my youngest son and I want a good lifetime machine for my other son...they are both mechanically inclined and can keep their WH 's running for as long as they want... appreciate all the input..
