Recommended Posts

i try to start it and it just like blows stuff out the frount of the air cleaner and seems like nothing comes out of the muffler.

i toke the carb apart and i tried to fix the float and i got it to stop leaking.  any recommandations on what to do? i think i will order a new float since my 2 have repairs or have a hole. the carb is off a k181 that ran till the rod broke. no one has seem this engine run as far as the owner has said. it has a good spark and i get a nice jolt if i hold the wire and spin the wheel.

any idea's what could be wroung with be great.

Humm...the muffler isn't all blocked up, is it?   :confusion-shrug:

Critters, rust...have been known to make this happen.

Blowing out the carb would be stuck intake valve or valve not closing all the way

as i was typeing this i realized somthing that we all do to make sure dirt doesn't get in the hole. i stuffed a rag in the hole and forgot to take it out:ROTF:

well im sorry for making your brains work, happly it was i forgot to take the paper out and it fired right up. purred harley when i was seeing if the muffler was the problem and once i put it on it sounded untuned but not that bad for not running if  19 years or more.
