Texas Todd 1,025 #1 Posted August 26, 2016 I bought an RJ from a fellow and he had put a Predator on it, which is fine, but he also gave me the original Kohler in a tub. I think its supposed to be a K90 but he wrote K91 on the tub. He told me it did not have a governor when he bought it. Is the K91 governor the same as the K90? I can't locate anything on a K90 governor, but found a K91 online. If he anyone has one to sell, that would be good too! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
wallfish 18,179 #2 Posted August 26, 2016 Governor parts are interchangeable between them. Actually just did that exact thing today! What are the odds? Swapped the entire governor system including the cam shaft to a K91. What makes you think the "tub" engine is a K90? Does it have a label? Or just guessing because a K90 can be the original engine on a RJ-58? The cooling fins on top of the head are usually curved on a K90 and they are straight on a K91 but the heads are interchangeable too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
