Guys,

I have the 312-8 posted on ebay for buy it now of $1600. I have a guy that may be interested in trading an unrestored 414-8 with no attachments. I would like to know if there are any neg's about the 14 hp kohler. I would assume not but i have never owned a 14hp kohler, only 10'2 and 12's. Thanks- steve bo

Any idea what year the 414 is?

The 1986 model had the K-321 engine, and the 1987 to '89 models have an M14 Magnum - all of which are great engines.

Is he offering you cash + the 414 for your 312? :hide:

Guys,

Got a few pics of the 414-8. Looks good but the engine is a magnum. Is that an internal balanced motor? Thoughts on the kohler Magnum 14??

I have a couple of Magnum 12's and I think their great engines. With the electronic ignition you wont find yourself having to mess with points. Both mine start up fast and easy and have all the torque of the older "K" series Kohlers.

You'll be happy with it I'm sure.

I have a 93 314-8 with a magnum with over 1300 hours and it still runs smooth, no oil burning or noise.

I have a Magnum 12 engine in my (would you believe) 312-8, and Im with the rest of the Guy's, they are great engines :D

Always starts first time every time and is never short on power :hide:

Yup, a Magnum has a lot going for it :hide:

I didn't know that these engines have electronic ignition, but maybe that's because the engine has always ran so well, Ive never had to do anything to it :omg:

The Magnums are fine engines. Beyond the ignition, the Magnum line was supposed to have some slight rod geometry impovements as well if I recall.
