Supplier for Fender Bumpers

Recommended Posts

I figure it has probably came up before, but I need to locate a couple of the little rubber bumpers that fit into the holes at the top rear of the foot rests. The fender lays on top of the rest in that area, and the bumper keeps the two pieces of sheet metal from rubbing and making all manner of racket.

DUH! Should have specified the tractor.

These are for the 3, 4, and 500 series machines. In this case, it is for my 312-8.

above is one place you can get them, but search around, you may find them cheaper, even check at your local toro dealer, you never know their prices either.

Thanks Tom.

Yeah, saw those, and no doubt that is what was on the tractor originally. But those are the ones held on with an adhesive backing. There is actually a hole for the old style bumpers, similar to those found on the hoods of vintage autos. Thought about getting an extra hood bumper kit for my '49 Ford truck and cabbaging a couple of them. Unfortunately, they appear too tall.

Hmmm........ Just had an idea, will check the glove box bumpers. Can still get those too.

I got them for my 86 310-8, and my tractor has those holes also.  I thought of that too, not sure if they changed the actual part over the years, or what exactly happened, because when i put in your 85 312-8, it shows the same part number :confusion-confused:

but those glove box bumpers may work decent, too!

Thank you gents for the replies.

RJ: Those Jeep bumpers very likely will work, although the 3/8" seems a little thick.

Nut: I remember running across Steel Rubber a number of years ago, thanks for reminding me about them. Will measure the holes in the tractor, and see what works. Then compare prices from the various vendors mentioned.
