c161 twin briggs

I picked a c161 up off of Seattle craigslist Sunday, the add is still up he wanted a $20 Starbucks gift card. I got it started today and it runs good. The rubber bushing/thing around the gas tank shut off leaks. Any Wheel Horse parts dealers in Western Washington.? TIA Ed

Welcome!  What a deal. I have the same tractor  and it's still running strong, untouched, after almost 40 years.

Except for free...that's about the best deal I have seen....a C-161 for 3 cups of joe.

Welcome to the forum.

That 104047 bushing is also used by other manufacturers so try a local repair shop.

Dimensions and other part numbers/companies here

Thanks for the link to the part number. I will see if I can figure out the photo thing. Is there a maximum size?

I took a couple of pictures. The original add is still on Seattle craigslist. I drove it around some yesterday and this morning, most of the gas has leaked out.

That's a pretty sweet tractor! Very rare for where I live. I'd say you did very well!

Thanks for the offer but I only drank coffee when I was at Ft Sill, Ok 50 years ago and it was colder than a witches ***. I was ale to get the gas tank bushing and new valve today.

With the side panel off I can see the lift cylinder working but it doesn't raise the mower deck. Could something be disconnected under the tractor. Thanks Ed
