Old red 16 #1 Posted August 3, 2016 Hello all, im new to forum because i just picked up a "854"! Excited to start my restoration. This thing is 100 % complete with mower deck too! Been sittin for 28 years. Unfortunatly the only thing i can find that isnt restorable is the steering wheel, so im lookin for suggestions on where to buy one or which aftermarket one will fit the steering shaft. Any suggestions?

Retired Wrencher 5,809 #9 Posted August 3, 2016 Old red Hope all goes well with your project. Are you going to paint it? Or just do all of the Mechanicals? Most here side on keeping the original paint or patina I believe. Any way it is yours to do what you wish as long it is not green. LOL.

Wheel-N-It 2,976 #13 Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) Red, look on line to find a company that does steering wheel restoration. I bought a Case 300 that had the steering wheel restored. I don't know the name of the company but here is a pic to show you what can be done. It's just a random shot I took and the wheel is dirty and has been used to steer a working tractor for the past 15 years so you will have to excuse the dirt and grime.
