Raider 12 blades

Hi all. I have a 73 Raider 12 fitted with a 42" rear discharge cutter deck. I somehow lost my center blade, nut, spacer and cup. I am after a set of 3 blades as i might aswell change them all. I have ordered a set (i live in uk) for a 42" deck but they are about 1/2" shorter than the others and it says they fit the 36" and 42" rear discharge decks.

My question is how to i know what cutter deck i have. And can anyone tell me part number i need. Also is the middle blade longer that the other 2? Cheers guys.

The first decks used blades with a 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole. Is that what you have?

Later the blades have a 3/4" round hole.

The 3 blades should be the same length for a 42" deck.

The 36" decks use a center blade that is 2" longer than the outside blades.

Decks are sized by their width of cut.

Hi ya Garry. My deck is 42" across and the blades have a single 3/4 inch hole in the middle. My center blade has somehow got lost so have no clue if its longer or not. The blades that are on there now are 14 1/4" long (the outside ones) the middle blade is gone so have no clue what size it is ment to be.

The first 42" rear discharge deck to use blades with a 3/4" center hole was a 1977 model 75-42MR02

The model 75-42MR01 used blades with the double-D center hole.

The deck you have could be anything from 1977 till the end of production. A bit more

The blades come from Toro as a 3-blade set but other suppliers sell them individually.
