powderfinger 24 #1 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) was discing and after a half hour or so. It stopped on a steeper side slope. checked fuel, looked low. i fueled up. when I restarted the engine, it cuts out as I throttle up. thinking a carb issue. what are your collective thoughts?....thanks Edited July 30, 2016 by powderfinger
scotty 252 #2 Posted July 30, 2016 Did you run out of fuel? I would start with a fuel filter.
powderfinger 24 #3 Posted July 30, 2016 it was low so I assume being on a slope stopped the engine. would it idle at low RPM w/ the plugged fuel filter? it only cuts out when I increase the throttle. i'll replace it. if that's not the problem, whats the next step(s) ? stevasaurus 23,287 #4 Posted July 30, 2016 There may also be a screen in the tank...may pick up a can of SEA FOAM gas additive and add that to your tank...as per directions. This stuff is great.

powderfinger 24 #6 Posted July 30, 2016 UPDATE: cool engine stared up ok. had to pull out the throttle, and choke alittle of course. needing to increase the throttle is not the norm w/ this machine. added seafoam as directed. rainy and wet now so put the horse in the shed. where can I get a fuel filter?
