Fuel pump swap

Recommended Posts

So I know the pump is not working. Verified by removing output line and cranking fuel valve is open and not clogged.

We had a john Deere 48" mower with a blown 18 hp kohler. I sold it for parts today and pulled pump.

After work I pulled the old and got the new one ready. Good thing I check cause the pump I took had aluminum chunks in it on the arm side. So I ordered a new one. I could have flushed it with diesel but I'm not a gambling man.

New pump came in and went on tonight. No time for a test run. Wife had number 3 two days before I picked up this tractor so we are still adjusting and free time is scarce at best. I still have a bedroom upstairs waiting on baseboard and trim, my 1 ton needs front brakes, brake lines carrier bearing, clutch...but I will get to the tractor. I'd like to have it ready for the fair 2 towns west. image_zpsa3kzdsmb.jpg
