Detector 72 #1 Posted July 24, 2016 My 90 WH still has the factory 23 X 9.5-12 turf tires, I really like the way the lug tires look on these machines. There is a area of my yard that gets quite nasty if we get several days of steady rain fall. My old Craftsman LT1000 has got stuck many times pulling my dump cart, it's not bad to push out but the Wheel Horse is a bit heavier, likely several hundred pounds!! The Super Lugs look nice & have a nice tread pattern. I know from ATVs the same size tire in different brands can vary a bit as far as height/width. Are the Deestone tires about the same as the stock tire size as far as width/height? I'm open to suggestions on other tire brands "on a budget", a 4 ply would do well for me considering my primary use would be on lawn only with some boggy areas. Thanks!! stratostar250 934 #2 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) Despite the fact that the tires say they are the same size, I've heard that the "deestone" ag tires run small, and give a super hard and uncomfortable ride. If I could remember who said that I'd tag them, Ill dig up my old posts and see who it was, I can say though, that I've run Carlisle All Trail tires on my 310-8, size 23x8-12, and they are not as agressive as the AG tires, but still meaty enough to for sure, help. I ran them with no chains and no weights in the winter two years ago and did okay plowing. I'll attach a pic of them on the tractor. You can find them priced relatively reasonable on amazon as well. scotty 252 #3 Posted July 25, 2016 My favorite brand of ag tire is BKT. 23x8.50-12 6 ply on eBay are about 140 shipped for the pair. They seem to wear good on my b-80. Seem to get good traction in snow and mud with them also. I have deestone 23x10.50-12 ag tires on my c-125 i use to garden with they seem to work pretty good. I prefer the BKT brand they seem to offer a bit more traction on my b-80.
