Hi What is the name of the paste or liquid you put on your tiers to keep them looking good. I think fills in the crakes in tiers and makes them look flat black. Is it Rye Glide  Rule Glide?? I have seen it here posted before. Thanks for any info.

NAPA Ru-GLYDE  will soften and condition the rubber. wet the surface, put it in a plastic bag for a day or two; works good.

I use just plain old black, satin finish, exterior latex paint. I mix it 2 parts water, 1 part paint for general coating. The thicker the mix, the more it fills the cracks. Lots cheaper than the "tire" paint, and according to a friend who used to work for the Goodyear Retread plant here in town, it is essentially the same thing. Latex = rubber. Tires = rubber. No brainer.

It is 2 parts water to 1 part paint.

It could be 2 ounces of water to 1 ounce of paint, OR 2 buckets of water to 1 bucket of paint.

The "part" is any unit of measure as long as it is the same unit for the water AND the paint!

"Tier Blaken".

I thought this was a topic in German or Dutch..........

I guess not.

Maybe a case of phonetics gone askew?

Curious.

Translation:

Tier = Tire

Blaken = Black?

Tire Paint???

Ik ben niet helemaal zeker.
Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher.

Language.....mankind's eternal problem.....
