TLH 5 #1 Posted June 23, 2016 Hey all. Does anyone have a good picture of the correct routing for the throttle and choke cables for my 1076? I'm replacing them and I know the current ones are not in the right positions. I've been looking but can't seem to find a pic that specifically shows how they are supposed to look, and the manual is not helpful. I have the same general question for the fuel line. Any help whether pictures or simply an explanation would be greatly appreciated!
Achto 29,408 #2 Posted June 24, 2016 (edited) I could get a descent pic of the throttle cable but the choke cable is a lot harder to get a pic of. The choke cable routing is as such. Under the gas tank, over the battery, under the starter/gen, behind the fly wheel below the crank shaft (there is space to thread the choke cable through between the block and plate behind the fly wheel), and up to the choke cable mount. The fuel line is routed along the frame on the left side and up to the fuel pump. If your cables are too long, cut the end off the cable and pull it out of the casing. Cut the casing to length then put the cable back in, cut it to length and bend a new end on it. I had to do this with mine.
