Red Horse 33 #1 Posted December 21, 2008 I would like to publicly thank Kevin for putting me on to a really nice 308-8. I had been looking for a while with no luck to find either a 308,310 0r a 312-8. I know a lot of you guys like hydros but I really wanted a manual model. To me thats the way a Horse is supposed to be. Maybe its because I remember many years ago running an L-107 and thats the way it felt. Anyway Kevin found one about 3 hours from my house for sale and when I saw it I had to have it. Really nice unit with no rust or major damage. The guy I bought it from said he had just bought it for a pulling tractor parts supply but couldn't destroy that good a tractor! The guy he got it from said it was just "in his way" in his garage! I likely paid more than I wanted to but this was a decent 308 and like they say ,the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. I just found a 310 today, and the satisfaction and excitement that not only have you found something you wanted or a good deal, but you have given a second life to a machine where it was otherwise wasting away, lingers for some time.
