Hello I have a 702 im trying to get a blower for. I found the STR-324 for a lawn ranger. im finding I just need an ST-324. Does anyone know what the differences are. The guy im buying from says he has two different brackets a bent one and a straight one. Will this also work on my 702?

Yes the "R" means it is for a Lawn Ranger.  I happen to have a STR-324 also, and I have used it on my 857 and my 876.  The Lawn Rangers have smaller front tires, so the blower sits a little different, but it is adjustable.  As far as the brackets, it looks like the one I use is straight.  The 857/876 would be the same as the 702 for mounting.

He's supplied me with the pics. I guess he said the brackets are interchangeable. Maybe if I put the bent one on it would help the angle?

The blower will work on your 702 for sure.  The brackets are interchangeable.  Looks like a road trip to me.    You will like the blower and if that is the difference between the brackets...go for it.  Make sure it comes with the flag...the parts that attach to the lift.    I don't see the flag in your pictures.

    Actually, now that I look at your pictures...I have the bent bracket on my STR-324.

 There it's pictured. And thank you so much for your reply. What do you think the chances of getting one at the big show are. Cause I'm only an hour from that.

How much you giving for this...if you don't mind my asking??  It looks like a nice one.  In the last picture, the flag is laying on the barrel.   So everything is there.  Yes, there may be one at the show, but you never know if it would be as nice as the one you are looking at.  If this is under $300, it is a good deal.  There is a bracket and pulley that bolts onto the frame to guide the belt also.  I'll see if I have a picture of that.  It is the flat pulley with a bar guide on it...it is right behind the grille in the picture.

Well he originally wanted 150 but then some guy offered a trade for a plow and he was gonna do it till I offered 250. I might try to get him to $200 but if you say that's a decent deal than I'll do it either way

And well if they aren't that could help me to get to $200. I work in a multimillion dollar machine shop so I don't got problems making replicas lol.

For that blower...$200 - $250 is a great deal.  $300 is good.  Spin the blade and listen to the bearings, but that blower looks great.    Do you need any more pictures??

He also sent me this picture. I can't tell if that's right or not

He sent me a pic of him sprinting the auger and it spun freely for about 5-10 seconds so I guess it's got decent bearings.

That last picture looks a little different then mine.  Not sure it is a big deal.  This will work on your 702.  We can figure it out after you get it.  That picture is showing the tension pulley set up...maybe that is the difference between the Lawn Ranger STR and the 702 ST-324.  Fixable to make it work...may not even need to do anything.

The big thing with the bearings is noise. I always try to take the chain off to make sure the auger bearings are quiet and smooth. The drive shaft and idlers are eady to change.
