rorynate 1 #1 Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) Hey everyone new to the site here. A couple of months ago I purchased a 1974 D-200 with front and rear pto rear 3 point. I put it to work right away. I was grading driveway last week when the speed control arm I call it snapped a bolt or pin. Now I can not figure out how to fix the arm,it just hangs in neutral. And the 200 is sitting in the yard unmovable. I can not find the part anywhere. I call the speed control arm the lever that is forward reverse etc. Do not know the proper name. stevasaurus 23,282 #2 Posted June 14, 2016 Here is the trans manual for your transmission. Take a look at pages 22 and up. Page 24 gives a good picture of how it works and parts. I know the part # I need even but I can not find the part anywhere. I called Toro even and they quit MAKING THAT PART AVAILABLE MORE THAN 18 YEARS AGO. I DO NOT EXACTLY UNDERSTAND HOW THE SPEED CONTROL ARM WORKS OR I WOULD DO A TEMP WELD OR SOMETHING UNTIL I CAN FIND THE PART ON CRAIGSLIST OR EBAY. I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE SPEED ARM CAN BE HELD TOGETHER BY A LITTLE PIN WITH A COTTER TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. stevasaurus 23,282 #4 Posted June 14, 2016 I am not familiar with that horse, just pretty good at finding information. Some will be along that will know how to fix what you have. rorynate 1 #8 Posted June 14, 2016 Part # 6-35 is the part that broke or ended up in the gravel in my driveway buried somewhere in the whiterock. I can only see the pin missing from the parts breakdown. The shifter just sits loose in between the two brackets. The spring assembly is still seated. rorynate 1 #9 Posted June 14, 2016 I found the pin sheared off sitting inside of the hand control arm. I knocked it out with a small tapping chisel. Now I have to find the part or have a machine shop maybe make me one the exact dimensions.!!!!!!!!!!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
