Does this engine do ok with the normal mechanical PTO clutch ?   Does it have a thrust face on one of the crank bearings ?

Picture is just for fun

I have had no problem with the mechanical PTO on my 314-8.  I cannot answer your second question.

I was wondering if anyone was running a manual PTO on an 18 or 20 V twin command.  I have decided to use one of these in my 418A, just trying to gather info & parts.

Thanks   KJC

I look at the assembly drawings on the Kohler site and didn't see a ball bearing on the PTO side. I would think you need thrust plate. I put a manual PTO on an 18 HP Briggs Vanguard but it has a ball bearing on the PTO side.
