illinilefttackle 399 #1 Posted June 7, 2016 Hello guys- working on a good looking 257H- but it has no ignition coil!- Just missing- it has one of the "point eliminators" that has been around for years- transistors instead of points.- QUESTION: because I don't want to drop $60 on this , to buy the right coil- can a Briggs Magnatron be used instead? I fitted a briggs point coil and it fits- seems to have the same magnet on the flywheel-used Magnatrons are cheap and work great- I appreciate any info-or advice- Thanks- Al Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
