cleat 7,260 #1 Posted June 6, 2016 I have converted all of my machines that were not that way already to the older style parking brake. This makes it easier to remove the left side cover and I find it works better. Just need to cut off that thin offset rod and weld on a piece of 1/4" keystock. Old style parking brake latch.pdf Then you need to cut out a small slot in the tunnel cover for the parking brake handle to protrude through. Wheel horse tunnel cover cutout for parking brake.pdf If you want the parking brake indicator light to work, you will need to move the switch to the tunnel cover where the handle will contact it and turn on the light. I didn't bother with the light as the tractor cannot move if the brake is on so you really can't drive around with it left on. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

doc724 925 #5 Posted June 7, 2016 I agree with you Cleat, the newer style brakes are a nuisance when you have to take off the side panel. Makes you wonder what WH was thinking when they went to this design. I am guessing it was driven by the need/want for the indicator light.
